Tour of The Battenkill
Known as “America’s Toughest Race” it lived up to its name as expected. It rained in Cambridge, New York continuously for the four days leading up to the race. However, race day may have been cloudy but not too cold with a high of 55 and some sun (but not too much).
Both John K. and Colin (our Cat3s) had a rough day. Flats on Flats on Flats for the two of them. Then mustered up the power to go...

Anonymous asked: In a recent post, a slightly misogynistic comment was made that I would like to call attention to: "As cyclists, [the weather is] just a crazy woman that we have to deal with everyday. (Sounds like marriage to me!)" I realize that this was said in good humor, but it absolutely perpetuates the stereotype that women are illogical and can't control their emotions. Women already feel...

Spring Classics
Hooray, SPRING!
Yes, it is February. Yes, it currently is cloudy and we are expecting snow in Boston today. And finally, yes, its technically still winter.
But the cycling calendar knows nothing of mother nature. As cyclists know, shes’s just quite unpredictable. A day of sunny skies may give way to rain before you know it.

It was the summer before college started and I was out...

Plymouth: Land of Opportunities
Ah, Plymouth. The land of opportunities!
Well, for Pilgrims it was but also for myself.
Last year was the first experience for 90% of us Stampeders. In fact, the team didn’t even exist a year ago. Phil and Ted were on another team, Julia didn’t yet race, Stampede was known as Pegasus and had a bunch of different faces, and I was an unattached rider hardly known to New England...
