I’m looking for riders to join my CX team.

Of all the CX teams in New England, I have found that they are either too serious or too laid back. Where are the “in-between” teams? Why can’t there be a team that takes the casual rider and with positive encouragement, positive challenges, and positive team activities outside of cyclocross to create a team that feels like a real team (without the pressure) and not a congregation of people who happen to wear the same jerseys?

My goals as a team founder are as follows:

  • Find at least 5 other riders who are committed to growing as a cyclist, person, and team
  • Have a committed sponsor that provides the support, repairs, and advice as a former cyclocross racer.
  • Create a team that also looks like a team (i.e. team bikes at a discounted price, team kits that look good, t-shirts, tent, promotion of said sponsor)
  • A team community that is accepted as serious and fun at the same time

Probably a lot to chew but without the lofty goals, nothing can be done. With the interested members I have already found, I think that we can meet our goals quite easily.

Get at me on twitter @stpcross33 and we can talk details.
